Sanger, California Speed Traps

Many times throughout the day there is a motorcycle cop parked on the West side of Bethel between Church and Jensen. He parks either in the entry of the mobile home park or in the apt. parking lot on the East side of the street as well as more North on Bethel between the railroad tracks and Church Ave hiding on the entry streets to two new developements. The speed go from 50 to 35. Do watch for school buses during the day.

Speed limit s/b on Academy Avenue entering the city of Sanger from the North is 55 MPH. The roadway is 2way-4lane undevided. As Academy Avenue enters the city of Sanger, the speed limit on this 2lane in one direction, with limited inhabitants drops to 35 MPH.. It is very difficult to maintain this slow speed through semi rural terain. The local police know that and Academy motorists become easy targets, and sources for needed revenue for the city.
