Boulder, Colorado Speed Traps
Northbound Hwy 93, between 72 and Table Mesa.
Speed trap closer to Boulder, just about where Greenbriar intersects 93 from the west. Just after one gets used to the reduced speed (from 55 to 50), within less than 1/2 mile, the speed is further reduced to 40, then within another 1/2 miles, to 35. Some police are present at the reduction from 40 to 35 (usually in gas station parking lot or nearby). Even if no police are present, there is a camera mounted on top of the reduced speed limit sign (where is says 40). So police or no, if you are going too fast, you get tickets in the mail.
North of 30th and valmont
I saw a cop north of Valmont catching people going south. Cannot confirm radar because I was going north.
Southbound 28th between Arapahoe Rd and Colorado
Marked police car sits on the road just south of the hotel, by the condos. Speed limit there is still 35, but cars are beginning to speed up in anticipation of the Turnpike, so it’s easy pickings.
Moorhead and 30th
Right before Moorhead turns gently into large apartments and the liquor store, There is frequently a white unmarked Speed Van parked on the Eastern side of the road. I think the speed limit might go as low as 25 here, so it tends to catch a lot of people off guard.
