Cherry Hills, Colorado Speed Traps
Quincy between holly and Daliha
Police officer sits in car parked in driveway on Northside of Quincy. Car is impossible to see until you pass it.
S. bound Colorado just before Quincy
Police Offers parks car in drive way at bottom of hill. They will either get out and stand on the side walk and walk out infront of you or they will sit in their car behind a bush.
eastbound E. Jefferson Ave. (US 285) between S. Marion St. & S. Lafayette St.
This road is fairly high traffic even at ‘slow’ hours. Cops actually hide a ‘block’ away (actually a partially-paved ‘intersection’ about 100 feet off the road) and catch unsuspecting drivers head-on from a semi-obstructed spot as they are coming upgrade into the left-bearing northwest-bound curve of E. Jefferson Ave. Great money-maker for Cherry Hills Village, a ritzy enclave just south of Denver who probably can’t get away with taxing or ticketing its residents too much, but gets every other poor sucker passing through to help pay the town’s bills for them. Pretty darned sneaky, them Colorado speed-trap guys!
northbound University Ave. between Belleview Ave. & Quincy Ave.
Again, another of the famous (in the area) Cherry Hills Village speed traps. I don’t know where the cops hiding place/lucre trap is exactly, but this is another very productive place for CHV to make non-residents pay their bills for them. University Ave. is a very major North-South road.
Bellview Ave
They sit on the north side of Bellview waiting, and people are caught many times a day
