Colorado Springs, Colorado Speed Traps
Shoup Rd and Milam
El Paso Sheriff. Been stopped here twice, ticketed once. See them every time I drive this road.
On Uintah St. between N. 24th and N. 21st streets
Anywhere from 1-3 motorcycle officers have taken to sitting in an alley between N. 24th and N. 23rd streets on the south side of Uintah across from Thorndale Park. They are there in the morning hours approximately 8 am to 11 am. Speed limit through there drops from 35 mph to 30 mph but that is a little downhill valley and a lot of people do not slow down. The officers are having a field day out there. I see them every morning on my way to work. I’ve also seen them pull people over for not completely stopping before turning at some of the stop signs on the side streets.
Hwy 115/Nevada Ave and Southgate Road
3 motorcycle officers sit on the sidewalk corners waiting for people speeding through that intersection and people that turn on yellow and red arrows. They are there during the lunch hours, 11 am- 1 pm. They will pull you over even if you turn on a yellow arrow. They actually park their motorcycles on the sidewalks or on the grassy patches in front of the Burger King, McDonalds, and Safeway.
Vindicator Road
Police will sit in the parking lot of Ute Valley Park and catch you speeding. Going east there is a rise so you wont see him until its too late. Going west you come around a curve and will not see him until too late.
