Eaton, Colorado Speed Traps
Highway 85 throught the town of Eaton
The whole town is a speed trap! The highway speed is decreased suddenly from 45 to 30 in the middle of town, for no good reason other than revenue garnering. It is constantly being hammered by townie cops trolling for revenue, as is the next town of Ault. They are all usually found chicken hawking the Highway in various hi-die holes. Go around the town, do not spend a dime there. This town of pirates needs a bi-pass.

Heading north on county rd 35 from hwy 392 about a mile up there is an oil tank cluster on the west side of the road, the patrolman sits in there catching traffic heading south to slow up to stop at hwy 392, I see him there every morning at 6:10 am, normally with someone pulled over.
Weld County Road 35 Road near Colorado Boulevard
On a county road the speed limit changes from 55 mph to 35 mph on a downhill slope. The only way to get from 55 to 35 in the distance given is to brake. Police hide in the dark on a cross road with a radar gun and wait for those that coast to 35 mph.
