Fruita, Colorado Speed Traps

Was driving K road from 24 road back to Fruita. Got pulled over for doing 53 in a 45. Officer was nice and respectful and gave me a warning, but be careful.

On 16 road there is a big hill. It’s a blind hill and very steep. Drivers going up often have their cars floored to make it up the hill then all of the sudden there’s a cop there. Also, teenagers like to go fast down the hill, and since it’s blind there is no way of knowing if a cop is on the other side. Be careful.

Police like to set on west end of park near K-rails and nab early morning and late afternoon drivers. They are very well hidden from westbound motorist.
