Lafayette, Colorado Speed Traps

The speed limit south of Arapahoe on 95th is 50mph and abruptly goes to 35mph at this point. Police hide in the roads on the east side of 95th street and pull people over just as the limit drops.

Cops will hide in the shadows of the parking lot west of this intersection and give tickets if you don’t come to a complete stop.

Patrolmen park in the east parking lot of Waneka Reservoir and monitor traffic going both on Caria and west, up Emma. Speed limit is 25 there, and it’s very easy to accidently drive too fast, especially on Emma.

Motorcycle cop parks it on Illium, has radar gun and stands on north side of South Boulder Road by wood fence or stands on medium behind pole. This is in front of Centarus High school. Usually around noon hour to sting you for not slowing down for the flashing light. He might be there before and after school.

Unmarked Gray F150 pickup truck sits at a farm entrance road radaring cars going northboard on Dillon from 287, which at that point is a single lane ramp coming off the 287/Northwest Parkway interchange onto Dillon. Speed limit is only 35 but should be higher.
