When entering hamlet of Manitou Springs, the speed limit drops to 20 mph and 50 feet beyond the sign were two police cars facing in either direction to catch people entering town. Almost impossible to slow from 40 to 20 mph before seeing 20 mph sign. Dead meat!

This speed trap is located on the stretch of road known as Ute Pass. It is located just West of Manitou Springs and East of Crystola. State Patrol are constantly present hiding in the many twisty turns of the pass. There are many good hiding spots for the State Patrol to use, and they are also using unmarked cars.
