Superior, Colorado Speed Traps
South Rock Creek Parkway near Honey Creek Lane
Marked police cars and SUV’s monitor speed (35 mph) at all time of the day and night. They park on the dirt road just east of the round-about with the lights off. It is very easy to speed downhill heading east of the round-about, so I see cars pulled over at all times of the day and night.
Marshall Drive
Marshal Drive (St. Hwy 170) in front of Target/Costco. Usually end of month a Superior police car will be there to make quotas.
Speed on the road is confusing. Traveling East to West on stretch, limit is 50. On other side of painted line, traveling West to East limit is 35. They nail you wen traveling West to East, zone drops from 50 to 35 in a couple of hundred feet.
Rock Creek Parkway
Boulder County Sheriff’s Dept usually sits on south side of Indiana or Coal Creek and usually gets eastbound tarffic becasue it is downhill. Posted Speed Limit is 35, but many do 40 – 45. I’ve not been stopped, but since there is a fair amount of pedestrian traffic, I’m hoping those that read this will slow down.
