Greenwich, Connecticut Speed Traps

Greenwich police car sometimes sits hidden behind a corner turn just before Barn Hill Lane – usually trying to get people coming from the Post Road towards Glenville.

The speed limit on Valley Road is 25mph, while Valley is a long winding road from Glenville to the Post Road without stop signs. The police car sits hidden on the North West side of Valley, just North of the Post Office, to catch the cars that pick up speed as they wind their way to the Post Road (W. Putnam).

I was getting a ride home at about 2am with a friend, he was pulled over here by a seemingly remorseful cop, who gave him a ticket for going 5mph over. I haven’t seen many cops sit here. I saw a pickup there once, and maybe another cop sporadically.

I’ve seen a cop here a couple time at night sitting in the entrance to Babcock Preserve, so be alert there.
