Monroe, Connecticut Speed Traps

A cop often sits by the small road leading to new houses and monitors Cutler’s Farm Rd. Speed limit is tortuously 25mph.

Monroe police are very interested in ticketing anything that they can. Drive with caution throughout town as they are unforgiving and look for any excuse to pull you over and inspect your car/documents. If you swerve to miss one of our many potholes they will pull you over for erratic driving and give you the DWI once over. They will figure out something to ticket you on. Even locals don’t get a warning.

Cops like to sit in the entrance to the cemetary. I have seen them mostly during the day but I have seen them at night as well.

They sit on a power line clearing obscured by trees and bushes.
