Coming South from the NY border into New Canaan, the downward grade in the hill approaching Canoe Hill Rd makes you spped up–at the bottom of the grade is New Canaan’s finest.
Carter Street near Long Lots Road
Unmarked car (Silver Chevy Malibu) on side of road with laser/radar gear. From one to 5 police cruisers set up at red school house to flag people over. 25 mph speed limit.
State Highway 106 near Exit Number Merritt Pkwy Exit 36
Cruiser(s) parked on Talmadge Hill Road near Train Station on NB side of 106. A very common traffic stop point for DUI checks. Make sure all your lights etc are in good working order as any justification can be used to pull you over for a check.

Difficult to tell which direction radar is aiming as there appears to be some bouncing of the signal. May use in instant-on mode sometimes.
Mariomi Road at Valley Road
Police car parked off road;police officer walked into road to gun me;no ther traffic on road at time of trap; no other traffic during the ticket write-up and "phoning in" info about me (ie, license, registration, etc) one car passed in opposite direction as I was leaving; no posted speed limit on section of road I travelled (posted speed signage above cut-off street I used to enter Mariomi Road); officer did not show me evidence of my speeding (45mph in 25mph zone) he did not offer to show me his scren reading, even after I showed great disbelief that I was travelling at the alleged 45 mph.
