Trumbull, Connecticut Speed Traps
State Route 25 near Exit Number 9
Troopers will catch you in this well hidden spot if you are traveling away from Monroe on rt 25. The trap is right before exit 9 on the left side of the road… almost encrusted in foliage. If one you look up you can see the grass is eroded exposing soil and tire tracks are left there. Many a time I have seen a trooper sitting in this location radaring, however you are unable to see it when approaching because the path is placed at an angle where you can only look back and see, this allows the trooper to not be seen. Watch out!
State Route 111
When traveling towards monroe coming from trumbull on Rt. 111 just past the post office, and funeral home a cruiser will sit on the shoulder of the road just before the elementary school.
State Route 25 near State Highway 11
As you are traveling South on 25 away from the 25/11 intersection, or as you are traveling north on 25 towards the intersection, you will see a sign on our left saying "do nto cross median" or somethign along those lines. it is common to see a cop here, and you will see regular travelers put on their brake lights or slow down before passing the paved area connecting the northbound side and southbound side. THe paved area between is where the cops hide out. I’ve never seen them stop someone going under 70, theyre usually looking for the people really cruising, as people tend to do this on 25.
Rte 15 near Route 25 overpass
State Troopers like to hide under the overpass between midnight and early morning. Will pick up anyone above 65 or so that time of night.
route 111
Watch out when coming north or south on route 111. There are two fire stations and a restaurant, Marisa’s, where the p.o.’s await to ticket. Late night is dangerous too.
