Apopka, Florida Speed Traps
HWY 436 Across from Mulinax Ford Dealership
Apopka police sit on a side road behind a big tree on the south bound side of 436 directly across from Mulinax Ford looking for speeders in either direction. It is a long strech of strait road so its easy to exceed the 45 mph limit.
On Schopke-Lester Rd. between Old Dixie Hwy and Lester Rd.
There are normally motorcycle cops on this road waiting for you to come over the hill. Once you go over the hill, coming from Lester Rd. they are on the right side of the road. They have you before you realize it’s them. There are 2 or 3 side streets so sometimes they park their cruiser on one of those streets so you can’t see them. I think the speed limit on Schopke-Lester Rd. is either, 25 or 35 mph.
Bear Lake Road at Bear Lake Circle
Motorcyle cops like to sit on the sidewalk in the shade to the trees, one side in the morning and the other side in the afternoon when the shade of the trees move to the other side. Hard to see them coming from Bunnell Rd. Speed limit is 25 there.
Rock Ridge Road inside Rock Springs Ridge Subdivision
The speed limit inside Rock Springs Ridge is 30 MPH and Ive been here for 11 years. Most drivers comming in or leaving RSR don’t drive the speed limit WHY???
Errol Parkway in Errol Estate
Patrol cars often park behind greenery at the beginning of the Parkway split, entering Errol Estate from 441. They are sometimes parked off Errol Parkway on side roads, and often catch offenders via radar. Remember the speed limit is 25 mph – follow it!
