Cocoa Beach, Florida Speed Traps
Alan B Shepherd Park
Public parking lot. Paystations do not give a receipt or ticket to put on dash showing you paid. Cops then wait for you to leave your car to issue ticket. Very corrupt and dishonest town. Avoid at all costs.
A1A just past Patrick AFB, when the road splits heading N
Heading north coming from Patrick AFB just past PAFB the road will split. The speed limit drops down to 35mph. Only one sign and very easy to miss. A motor cycle cop will be on the left (not in view). This speed trap has been in place since as long as I can remember going back to early 70’s. I went to visit and I forgot about that trap and sure enough I got a ticket. Do not even go 5 over the speed limit in this area!
Banana River Blvd. & Osceola Ln
Police hides on Osceola waiting for neighbors to run the stop sign and to use Myspace
West Osceola Lane and North Banana Blvd
Cruisers sit back at the second house on either side and if you don’t come to a FULL STOP at the light they gotcha. Note speed limit on Banana Blvd 25 but on Osceola 20. When you get to 520 if you go west the limit is 35 for the first half mile and they wait there too.
Ocean Beach Blvd
Speed limit is 25 mph. the police sit half way between 520 and the Cocoa Beach pier in an empty lot. It is hard to see the car until you are almost there.
