Davie, Florida Speed Traps

Speed traps have been set up a various locations along SW 82nd Ave. clocking traffic in both directions using a laser device with both police cars and motorcycles. One particular location is in the 5400 block (closer to Stirling) with the motorcycle officer set up hidden by the trees on the south side of the road. Posted speed limit is 30 mph on this isolated two lane road with little traffic on which the Davie/Cooper City branch of the Broward County Library is located.

St Rd 84 parallels I 595, speed limit 45. After passing FTP onramps going west, Davie PD and FHP are sitting under the Turnpike overpass waiting for anyone thinking speed limit is the same as I 595. Randomly day or night.

Police sometime wait In the U-turn from W to E on SR 84 to see if motorists are wearing seat belts.

595 goes over 441 and the cops hide between the posts. The speed limit is 45 when the highway is 5 lanes across and looks like an interstate, without a lot of traffic, and no businesses on the sides. Its the Davie cops favorite speed trap. When they work it, they will have 4 or 5 cop cars there.

Between Griffin and 595. Cops will hide on the sides of the road or directly in the middle of a u-turn.
