Duval, Florida Speed Traps
Bartram Park Boulevard near between St Augustine & Racetrac Road
Through the entire length of Bartram Park Blvd watch out for Speed Traps and unmarked cars. The posted Speed Limit is 40, with those being pulled over driving at least 50 mph.
Because the road is long and windy, sometimes it is easy to drive above the speed limit. Watch your speed on this road.
J. Turner Butler JTB Boulevard near Belfort Road
Going west on JTB as you are coming up to the Belfort Road overpass the speed limit changes from 65 to 55 to 45 very quickly. The cops like to sit at the top of the overpass on the left side of the road with the tripod and at least 2 marked cars. It is hard to see that they are there until it is too late!
Hodges Boulevard near Danforth Drive
Usually an unmarked SUV is parked on the side of the road. Normally a uniformed officer has a free standing radar/laser checking traffic heading towards Beach Blvd (from the JTB/Landstar area) at lunch rush. The speed limit changes from 45mph to 35mph immediately after where the tap is set up and they like to pull you over just after the speed limit change and give you a more expensive ticket (even though you were clocked in a 45mph zone)
