Melbourne, Florida Speed Traps
Along University Boulevard – Melbourne
Two Melbourne Florida police officers will sit out on University Boulevard in either direction in the median and wait for a car to pass through or several cars to pass through as they’re heading down University towards Stone Middle and Dollar General that’s where they’ll pull them over
192 Melbourne Beach
Always parked over the bridge on 192 ready to nail you….They have to make that money…
Intersection of Livingston Street and E. Strawbridge Ave
There is a very hard to see (especially at night) “No Turn on Red” sign when turning right onto East Strawbridge Ave from Livingston St. The sign is up on the signal cross-arm which is on the north side of Strawbridge Ave right next to one of the signal lamp heads. The sign is not lit and is a reflective sign designed to be much lower to the ground where your headlights would make it visible. Also the glare of the traffic light right next to the sign makes impossible to read at night. Melbourne PD sits in the rear post office parking lot west of the intersection waiting for an easy citation. A lot of traffic flows out of this intersection from the restaurants, bars and shops in Old Melbourne so this is also a way to have probable cause to get you pulled over for more scrutiny.
POST RD.
