These guys and girls are relentless! They stop people for unreasonable things, such as having a tag light out. How crazy is this! One night officer’s is writing an insane number of citations, over 150 a month. The chief needs to control these guys. Watch out and avoid the Village People!!

The speed limit on Riverside Drive from Eau Gallie Blvd. to Eastminster Presbyterian Church is now 30 MPH. For the last three days at 8:40 a.m (when I pass by) there has been a cop stationed on the West side of the road, just North of the church. The cop car faces North (opposite to the flow of traffic on the West side of the road), on the wide side of the bend so they can make sure cars don’t speed up as they approach the traffic light at Eau Gallie Blvd. and Riverside Drive. Drivers beware!

est Melbourne and Melbourne police sit in the medians where there is not much light (so the cars look like disabled vehicles in the dark) to catch all of the drunks leaving the bars close to I-95. There is at least two cops set up in a two mile stretch almost every night. Not sure what speed they will pull you over but just go the speed limit and they won’t even look at you.

Whenever you drive past bare assets or drive into the town, there are one or two cop cars waiting for speeders. Since this is the entry to the town, the speed limit goes from 55 to 45 and most people are still in the 70mph mode.
