Melbourne, Florida Speed Traps

Halfway down the street around the Giant house, there is an area where I see cops quite often. They hide behind trees by a fence opposite the neighborhood. It is usually too late to notice them. Today I saw two cops in the spot which is not usual.

Speed limit is 25mph. Frquent radar checks and lots of tickets any time day or night! Favorite trap of MPD for years.

There’s a motorcycle cop and sometimes another guy who like to stop students who roll through the stop sign or speed on the way to class at this intersection. They hide behind a big tree on the corner.

The PSL (posted speed limit) here is 25MPH, and there’s one lone officer sitting on the east side of the road catching students from Florida Tech speeding through.

On Henry halfway between Hollywood and Minton there is about only one place for a car to hide. It is under a tree near a very small farm. Driving west, it is difficult to see the cop until it is too late.

The speed is well marked. When they say 30 MPH, they MEAN it.
