Nokomis, Florida Speed Traps

On the 681 Connector, right before you exit, either going northbound, towards Osprey, on 41, or southbound, towards Venice, right before you exit in either direction, the speed limit drops to 45 MPH!! Sarasota Sheriff usually always has a Deputy sitting right around the curve on the southbound/ Venice/overpass exit, just waiting for speeders! This is a great hiding place for the Deputy, as the exit ramp is a hill on to US 41, and by the time you see him, it’s too late!!

Unmarked car sits in center of road hidden by construction barrels. Speed is reduced to 35 mph in construction zone

They sit in the driveway , under big tree . Right after you pass the Salvation Army . By the time you see them , it’s too late .
