Troopers back up next to the bridge (on the south side of the bridge) and shoot radar at southbound traffic. Note: Speed limit drops from 55 to 45 here.

Random Safety Checks (Road Blocks) by FHP and local Sheriff’s Deputies.
No Pattern recognized but, often on Friday and Saturday nights.
Usually sets up in old high school parking lot.
Checks for speeding, driver licenses, insurance, dui, head/tail lights, etc.
