Orange Park, Florida Speed Traps
Wells Road near Blanding Boulevard
the speed limit is 25 MPH but coming off of Blanding people tend not to slow untill 1/2 down the road, then it is too late. they sit on motorcycles and cars and wait for you to come down the street
Moody Avenue near Railroad Crossing
The enforcement level varies from day to day, but there are multiple officers there on a regular basis hiding in church and school parking lots, side streets, and there was even a motorcycle officer hiding in a ditch once. The speed limit of 30mph seems interminably slow for the long stretch of road and drivers are constantly tempted to go over the limit. The Clay County Sheriff deputies know this and are there, waiting. The number of cars ticketed in this area is very high.
My advice: the sign says 30mph on Moody Ave. Take it seriously!
Argle Forrest Boulevard near cheswick oak Street
They sit hidden behind the trees all up and down argle forrest blvd around the mcdonalds area….
if you’re doing 5mph + over….they pull you over…
US Highway 17 near Doctor’s Inlet Bridge – at Holly Point Road
Police recently granted $3,800 for laser. Using it to track down motorists comming off bridge. Typical traffic 65MPH in a 45MPH zone. $115 fine for 66 in a 45
Blanding Blvd at Youngerman Cir / Argyle Forest
Yellow light enforcement, speeding enforcement. Don’t even think about trying to sneak through these intersections going north onto Blanding Blvd (SR 21) if the light is changing from green to red. Zero tolerance for impeding traffic.
