DCSO vehicles sit between the entrance ramp and the interstate (eastbound). The patrol vehicle is obscurred by the overpass bridge (Lee Rd) and commuters approach to thisspot is downhill adding to the likelihood of speeding – posted limit is 65 mph. Sheriff vehicles are often there two or three mornings per week, catching work commuters heading to ATL.
I-20 Westbound past Lee Rd (Exit 41)
In what used to be a rest stop (now being used by the DOT as salt storage), the GA State Patrol will sit back in the woods completely obscurred from view, catching vehicles as they pass. This is legal in GA for State agencies (but not counties or municipalities. The posted limit is 65 mph.
Thornton and West Corporate Ct.
More than a speed trap-they sit in the dark on W. Corporate which is the narrow rd across from the Race Trac. There is a car there every night. They watch and wait for you to go through the light. Becareful, you will get a ticket if the light turns yellow while crossing. He said I did not go through a red light, but the car in front of me hit brakes and my car didn’t finish crossing the white line before the light turned red. So a few seconds/inches cost me $200. By the way, I like the new courthouse. I wonder how it was paid for….

Douglas County cars set up just west of Thorton Road on I-20 west bound. They sit next to the center wall on the left side as you come around the gradual curve.
