Woodbine, Georgia Speed Traps
I-95 – Exit 14
Just south of Exit 14. Camden sheriff’s cars always hiding under the bridge waiting for unsuspecting motorists – especially those who are African-American or have darker complexions. They will shine spoiltlights across the road at night to see into cars to see who is driving. Beware of driving in this county on I95 – especially if you are a minority.
I-95 between Mile Marker 12 and 13 (Billyville RD Overpass)
Camden County local cops taxing motorists with a speed trap located underneath the Billyville Road overpass on I-95 between mile markers 12 and 13. (5) units were spotted in this area collecting traveling fees from motorists traveling north and south on Interstate 95. Slow down and do exactly the speed limit to show them some love.
Anywhere on Interstate Hwy 95 South or North
This stretch between Exit 27 and the Georgia Florida state line is a speed trap. If it is a holiday, Nascar or maybe spring break it is a money making business for Camden’s finest. Kingsland City Police patrol the Interstate like it was downtown, compensating for lack of tax dollars. They sit North of Exit 1 just as you come North around a bend, they hide between trees by Exit 3 and they sit in the medium around exit 6 and will catch you before you get to Exit 7. You will most likely have your car searched for probable cause, whether it be a tag light out, crossing over the line or just not using a blinker, Whatever! They are compensating for lack of tax dollars from the budget slashes.
Highway US 17 in the city limits
Do NOT exceed the speed limit through this town. Last year 4 of my friends got tickets on the same day on the way South.
