Lewiston, Idaho Speed Traps
Gun Club Road
Some police like to sit in a pull out or in a dirve way off Gun Club Road and hand radar espeacially in the late evenings. It’s posted 35mph and it’s a fairly steep grade as well, so be careful.
Bryden Canyon Road near All over town.
Lots of police, both city and county. All have rolling radar in their cars, so just meeting them can get you busted. Highest speed limit in town is 45mph and that is heavily patrolled (Bryden Canyon). Next is 35 on a 5 lane (turning lane in center) on 21st St. and on Thain Road. There is also a section of 21st St. that is 4 lanes with sidewalks that is posted for 25mph. Lots of hills in town so look out going downhill. City police occasionly run major trap with hand-held guns hiding behind bridge abutments on Idaho side of Interstate Bridge (4 lanes)from Washington that is posted 25mph.
Interstate 80
They are particulalry fond of pulling over out of state cars and fining them heavily for unknown and unposted speed limits.
