Meridian, Idaho Speed Traps

Motorists are repeatedly running the red light and in the intersection after the green light is lit. Majority of red light runners are using the turn lanes.

New flashing light installed last year (flashing yellow) Cops will sit in either the student parking lot of Meridian High School or in a driveway..Mostly during early hours and after school..when that light flashes, its 20 MPH, period.

This whole stretch is loaded with police, especially before and after school. I drove to Meridian High School around three o’clock and saw 6 cops on this stretch in a range of activities from patrolling to having people pulled over. Be extremely wary of the many school zones on this route.

they always sit right across from meridian middle school. I see ppl get pulled over everday for speeding through the school zone…..

This is an area that cops can sit back in the many business buildings lining the street and watch for speeders. Mountain View High School is located just off the road and they tend to sit there around 7:00am and again at 2:30-4:00pm.
Weekends are also a big time for cops to get speeders along Overland. Remember this is 40mph. It is very easy to speed along this road due to the open area with very few stop lights or signs. Be careful!
