Ponderay, Idaho Speed Traps
The highway 95 bypass all the way through Ponderay.
The speed limit has been raised to 45 mph throughout this streach of road.
Ponderay cops are out in force running 2 or 3 cruisers with radar on!! Set your cruise control at 45 mph to avoid being pulled over. Ponderay cops are especially active Thursday thru Monday. If you are from out of state (Canada) be especially careful. Ponderay cops are the worst I have ever experienced.
Just past the BNSF RR Bridge overhead
On Hwy 95 North jut past the Sandpoint RR Station, a sign appears Reduce Speed Ahead, it is 45 MPH at the Hwy 200 right exit there is an angled 35 MPH speed sign,
The sign is deceptive beause drivers assume it is the speed limit for the off ramp, it is not. If you continue on the By-Pass Hwy 95, crossing over Hwy 200,
a large Marker on the side of the hill City of Ponderay, if radar is in use by the time you reach this point you are 10 MPH over the speed limit.
The next 35 MPH sign appears approximately 100 yards pased the over pass.
You will be pulled over and cited, I was and three of my friends. We challenged the violation in court and won against, nothing has been done to correct this problem.
City of Ponderay
The City of Ponderay is a big speed trap, if I did not have to travel that way I would avoid the whole area. It seems to be a big money making machine for this city, these people should be ashamed of them self’s
