Heutter Road near State Highway Seltice
Headed south on Heutter Road approaching Seltice, the speed limit drops from 45 to 35 in an open agricultural area. The sheriff’s department uses the driveway and remaining foilage from an old home site to hide and catch those entering the 35 mph zone.
Chase Avenue near Mullan Avenue
Heading south on Chase, the speed limit changes from 35mph to 25mph (20mph when childrean are present) as you approach Seltice elementary school. There are patrol cars there nearly every morning, including weekends.
Spokane Street near Poleline Avenue
The south and north ends of Spokane street are 35 mph, but change to 25 for about 6 blocks as you approach the park and cemetery. The area is heavily enforced at all times of the day and night. Officers use the parking lot in the park, driveways, alleys and the shoulder to watch for speeders.
Prairie Avenue near Beware between S.H #41 and Highway 95
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department
and Idaho State Police hide on rural area
side roads in order to speed trap persons
traveling on Prairie Avenue between State
Highway #41 and Highway 95. I observe them
quite frequently during daylight and early
evening hours awaiting victims who exceed
the 40 MPH posted speed limit for revenue
purposes.
Interstate I 90 near Spokane Street
On Interstate 90 near Post Falls. They hide under the bridges in between the east and westbound lanes.
