McDonald Road near State Route 47
The stretch of McDonald Rd east of Rt. 47 is pretty much wooded until you reach South Elgin city limits. They can be hiding anywhere on this stretch since there are so many places to sit unseen until you are on tip of them. The Campton Police are really watching this area due to frequent bad accidents.
Brown Road near LaFox Road
Speed traps vary by time of day and night on the 1 1/2-mile stretch of Brown Rd. between Rt. 64 and Burlington Rd. Police will frequently set a trap at the intersection of Brown Rd. and LaFox Rd. where there is a 3-way flashing stop sign and will frequently give citations for both; failing to come to a complete stop and speeding. Hidden/private drives are used along this short stretch of road and there is no way to know they are taking radar until it’s too late. You have to be insane to drive this section of road since you’re a sitting target.
Silver Glen Road near Splitrail Lane
These new Campton Hills cops are ruthless. They sit in the subdivision and pull anybody over.
