Chicago, Illinois Speed Traps
Jackson Boulevard near State Street
This trap will catch you as it did me and many others in Downtown Chicago. At State and Jackson Blvd, Jackson runs east bound toward the lake. There are, No Right Turn signs posted on Jackson but they appear to be visible as no parking signs. There is no logic behind the no right turn sign. I understand no left turn into oncoming traffic. You are not allowed to turn right on State and the cops sit there all day long giving tickets. When I got my ticket I couldn’t believe there was a sign there. I went back around the block to see the signs that I had missed. By the time I went around the block he had someone else. Just that fast.

Cottage Grove Street near 79th Street
At 79th street and the corner of Cottage Grove, there are photo camera’s at this intersection going east and west as well as north and south. They will send you a ticket in he mail if you run a yellow/red light. Even if you are half-way through the intersection and the light turns red they will still ticket you. They really need to photo everthing else that is going a this intersection.
