Edwardsville, Illinois Speed Traps
Moro Rd Road near US Highway 159
Moro Rd is 2 miles long between 159 and St. James Rd. A Madison County Sheriff Deputy usually is at the church at the top of the hill, or sitting on a little driveway for farmers, on any part of this road. There is no speed limit signs posted so by law the speed limit is 45 miles per hour. I seen someone doing at least 100 more than once. I wish the cops would be there when people do that fast. I know a lot of friends animals get killed on that road, thanks to all the speeders.

The SIUPD (Southern Illinois University Police Department) sets up speed traps for both inbound and outbound traffic as you’re heading on or off campus. The speed limit gradually drops from 55 to 45 to 35 to 30 mph. The SIUPD is very strict when it comes to the speed limit, so be cautious when entering campus and while on campus.
