Elburn, Illinois Speed Traps
State Route 47

Kesslinger Road near 300 Feet East of Rt. 47
It has to be one of the biggest circus’s that I have every experienced. It is like a police state. Cops fly all over like its a combat zone. They work Kesslinger Rd very hard across the street from the New Kennedy Home Development. Be very careful going through Elburn. Avoid driving here if possible. They have 3 full time officers day and nite. Stay away!

I pass through Elburn going east on IL 38 around 5:30 AM. The radar cars sit in the parking lot of a landscaping company just west of Anderson road shooting the east-bound traffic. This early in the morning is usually semi dark and the cars tuck themselves in so they are almost unnoticable until it is too late. Set your cruise at 55 from about 1 mile west of 47 until about a mile west of Anderson road. This is for both east and west travel.

Going south on 47, just as you pass the intersection of 38 and 47, there is a turn-around just south of the BP Amoco station on the corner, and across from a Subway Sandwich Shop. I work at Subway, and see cops pull over motorists all day here.
State Highway 47 near Keslinger Road
south of the railroad tracks and south of the John Deere dealership, there’s a cemetery with high columns on either side of it’s entrance, and cops LOVE to hide there.
