Frankfort, Illinois Speed Traps

Due to unreasonably low speed limits in an area primarily surrounded by field. Many small hills just big enugh to cover a vehicle provide hiding. Frankfort makes a boat load of money off this area. Due to the ticket being held at a local court makes the cop the judge and jury when you get the ticket. Easy method for tickets on this road is to plead guilty ask for supervision and pay $200 or so.

On White St from Kansas St, south to Rt. 30, they sit over by the tanning place and pick you off. I have also recieved a $175.00 ticket in the mail from that location with a picture of my car speeding. Photo radar is all over that town.

Frankfort Squad car sits in the rear driveway of the Home Depot Store just out of view till you come around the curve.

Frankfort PD is in and around this area all day long. Always using radar and aerial measures both. They have a private helicopter leased for speed enforcement.

Frankfort PD sits in the American Storage Center hiden in the center bay of the storage facility hidden from east and west bound traffic. Laraway Road is a rural road with speeds limits over 45 MPH except from Center Street east which is 40 MPH and highly enforced.
