Hoffman Estates, Illinois Speed Traps

Unmarked Car sits facing east on Thacker St to catch speeders turning Rt. off of Roselle road. People use the side street to skip the backup at Schaumburg rd and Roselle road. This area is the line between Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg.

Marked/unmarked police sit in front of Toyota/Suzuki motorcycle dealership on south side of Golf Rd, normally clocks eastbound traffic parked like a customer car on parkway street off Golf Rd. If you are heading east on Golf Rd, slow down when passing White Castle.

Police park their cars facing up a hill that unsuspecting motorists come over the top of just fast enough to be speeding. The cars are so well covered by a tree in one direction and an opposing hill in the other direction that you really have to be looking hard to see their cars parked there. When travelling down this stretch of Hillcrest beware that a cop is most likely lurking at the bottom of the hill just before Roselle Rd. Oh…and keep your foot on the break while going down hill towards them. If you happen to be doing the speedlimit at the top of the hill, but the downward momentum of the hill puts you over the 25 mph speedlimit then guess what… ticket time!

Marked cars park parallel to Hillcrest about 1 block west of Roselle Rd. Usually in the mornings. If you are heading east on Hillcrest there is a hill you go down, They sit at the bottom of the hill and track you all the way down.I have tried to just let my car idle down this hill but still can’t go less than 40 mph. They love this spot it must be a real money maker so be careful here.

Unmarked car on the median near Bethel Baptist Church or just north of there in the entrance to Schaumburg Golf Course. I know several people who have received tickets there. Posted speed is 40mph.
