Lake, Illinois Speed Traps

Small country road with an unmarked police car hidden alongside the road in bushes. Speed limit is 30mph while two roads on either end are higher. Cop uses radar as turning into the road.

car is pulled over on the shoulder. motorists continue speeding thinking the cop has someone already and more pop out of the woodwork and pull you over.

This is near the exits for Belivdere and Waukegan Roads – also nearby is the News Sun Offices. Cops hide behind overpass, pop out and catch you. Also they have another technique. One cop pulls over a speeding motorist. All the rest of you happily keep speeding along – as cop is busy. Shortly down road another cop pops out of hiding and snags you, and sometimes they even have a third one posted a little further away to catch the truly stupid.
