Naperville, Illinois Speed Traps
5th Avenue/Royal St. George St.
Naperville’s finest often patrol this short stretch of road that connects Ogden Ave and Mill St. It passes south of Naperville North High School and cops often hide among the students’ cars parked on the street. Speed limit is 30 but it is easy to go 40 or higher – and they WILL nail you. Also, Ogden is 40 so when turning off Ogden onto Royal St George be sure to watch your speed as they like to catch people who haven’t slowed down. The cops are there any/all times of day, and they also sometimes like to hide in the parking lots on the south side of 5th where you can’t see them until it’s way too late.
Rte. 59 between 111th and 95th Street
Police car is occasionally parked on a dead end street behind a hill, across from the Jewel food store.
Washington (on either side of downtown)
On both the north and south edges of Downtown Naperville cops sit everywhere. Specifically in the Burger King Parking lot on South end. North end they sit on the east sid of the street across from the middle school in the alleys for the buisness buildings. Specifically a Gold Malibue, dark Blue 2002-2001 Explorer, and Motorcycle. They also sit on the street right after you go before/after you go under tracks on North side.
North Aurora Rd. between Raymand Dr and Il Rte 59
Radar unit will be parked on one of several side streets that are on north side of N.Aurora Rd. Limit is 40, which is low considering it is a 4 lane road and straight with no visual obstructions. Naperville uses many and varied unmarked units. They have a lot of sucess with an unmarked Chevy Tahoe, black with regular non-municipal plates.
Ogden Ave from Naper Blvd to Aurora Rd. (4 miles)
Naperville use a lot of unmarked vehicles. Some of them are Chevrolet Astro vans, with dark privacy glass, usually green or blue in color. Dodge Stratus, Neon, and Intrepids. And a few Tahoes. they seem to be ok with up to 8-10 over after that they stop you. Heavy enforcement of younger driver in high performance cars, and anything that looks modified.
