Naperville, Illinois Speed Traps
75th Street near Book Road
Sits in a parking lot right before Book road, (going westbound on 75th) and usually uses laser to get you… No warning even with a good radar detector.
State Highway 88 near State Route 59
When you are going westbound on I-88 and pass under the Route 59 underpass, they sit up on the entrance ramp from 59 to 88. One cop will be standing outside his car with the radar gun and there will be 4 or 5 police cars and MOTORCYCLES lined up on the entrance ramp waiting to be dispatched by the officer shooting radar. You cant see them until its too late. Good Luck
Olesen Drive near E. Gartner Road
When going southbound on Olesen Drive toward Hobson Road during PM rush hour, you will approach a significantly long and steep hill. The posted speed limit is 25 MPH, but if you maintain your original acceleration (which most people naturally do) you will end up at the bottom going about 40 MPH. About 50 yards from the bottom of the hill is a cul-de-sac called Pine Ridge Court. On frequent occasions, there will be either a marked or unmarked Naperville squad car, clocking cars going down the hill, usually catching them going 10-15 miles over the speed limit.
Naper Boulevard near Stoney Brook Road
I got a ticket here… Seen cops here before (afterall it is Naper Blvd)… Sits in the entrance to the library and leaves his radar off until he sees someone he believes to be speeding. I saw him and before I could slow down he shot me with the radar gun and my detector beeped like crazy for that 1 second. He used a handgun according to the ticket.
Ogden Avenue near Colombia Road
I got picked off here… He followed me a block before he turned on his lights. I have a few friends who have gotten pulled over here too.
