RT. 59 & Dayfield Dr. (Between Renwick Rd. & Caton Farm Rd.)
Going North on RT. 59 from Caton Farm Rd. there is a Plainfield pd squad car sitting at the East entrance (Dayfield Dr.) to a new developing neighborhood. Squad car usually sits behind the "billboard", to where traffic coming from Caton Farm Rd. can’t see him.
Rt 59 between Rt 30 and Renwick
Police have used several private driveways (local businesses) to radar in this area on either side of the road. In this area the speed limit does not increase to 40mph until well after the southbound road opens up.
Meadow Ave and 135th, Just west of 30
This is a residential area. Meadow Ave. loops around. Many mornings throughout the week, there is an officer parked just before the stop sign at the intersection of Meadow Ave. and 135th.
On Route 59 from 111th St Northbound to Route 30 SE bound
All i can say is beware if you’re a motorist passing by the whole of Route 59 in Plainfield from North boundaring Naperville to South boundaring Joliet. Plainfield is topping the lists of all the counties in Illinois according to the latest State of Illinois survey issuing road speed and motorists-related tickets. Day or night, try to avoid using Route 59 and use alternate routes instead as much as possible. Plainfield police are becoming notorious in issuing road speed and motorists-related tickets. Route 59 in Plainfield has now become a cash-cow and an easy revenue generator to the police and the Village.
