Elkhart, Indiana Speed Traps
Bristol Street near Pinewood School
This is probably true for all school zones, but when it says go 20, you better go 20. At this site, a squad car "tries" to hide behind the sign on the Glenwood Park subdivision meridian. It is not unusual to see 2 or 3 cars pulled over every morning during the school year.
Bristol St between CR15 and CR17
The new Bristol St. where the S-curves are at, they like to hid on the pull out with a clear sight when coming around the corner.
E. Jackson Blvd. (SR-120)
In between Middleton Run Road and Goshen Avenue: a few different cop vehicles will sit in driveways, the Trinity Church parking lot or on the side of the road. There is a bike cop that you will not see until it is too late – he likes to sit in the driveways of residential homes just West of Trinity’s Church. Also, there is an unmarked red Mustang that will sit on the South Side of the street (between Riverview & Foster) pretending to be a parked car, all while blowing you up with radar. WATCH YOUR SPEED — Many people travel well over the 35/40 mph speed limit and the traffic has tripled since the bridge construction on CR-17.
Jeanwood (CR 11) between CR 106 and Bristol street
Speed limit drops to 30MPH a little after passing CR106. Have noticed a green mustang hiding on Miller drive. He has been hitting pretty hard lately.
US 33 between Lusher St and Mishawaka Rd.
Saw three stops by a couple different mustangs going both South and North in the same day–week days.
