When summer rolls around, watch out for the Harley Davidson. Usually morning and afternoon rush hours, will see him sitting off the road in a grass lot, never more than 50 yrds from traffic lights so he can get you running a red (most of time yellow) light also. If he’s behind you, you’re going home (or to work) with a ticket.
CR-17 between 6-Span Bridge & Toll Road Entrance
Usually parked on West side of road, backed into driveways along stretch of vacant land. Hand-gun type radar. Checking both Northbound and Southbound traffic.

Elkhart PD has a Dark Green, Chevy Impala that has tinted windows. Has no exterioir lightbar. Only thing that says "Cop Car" is the extra Antanne on the trunk. Likes to sit on Nappanee (SR 19), CR 6 near the airport, and Cassopolis near the intersection of Cassopolis and CR 6. Officer usually won’t pull over for going anything less than 10 MPH over. But Be careful he is hard to notice.
