Evansville, Indiana Speed Traps
dead end of Diamond Ave as it becomes Weinbach Ave.
As you head southeast from Diamond Ave. to Weinbach around a right hand curve the speed drops from 40 to 30 and city and state officers sit at the first intersection.
Lloyd Expressway between MLK Blvd. and Wabash Ave.
The state police and Evansville police have both been parked watching the westbound lanes between 9p and 11p, maybe more often. State police hide in the construction barrels, city police usually watch the exit before and after the current construction of the overpass at Fulton.
University of Southern Indiana – Clarke Lane
Public Safety sits on this road from Schutte to University Blvd. and watches it like hawks for speed and stop signs. The worst seems to be after dark. During class time I never see them.
Old Petersburg Road near US Highway 41
State police officer parks in the Hamilton Golf Course parking lot and monitors cars coming off HWY 41. I’ve seen him there 3 times in the morning in the last week.
State Highway 62
Between Evansville & Chandler. Hwy 62 is 4 lane from Evansville East of Epworth Road, then is under construction into Chandler. Where the 4 lane enters the construction zone, State boys have been hiding behind the barricades and using Instant On.
