Fishers, Indiana Speed Traps
Interstate 69 near Mile Marker 0, 3, 6, and 8
I-69 from I-465 north to m.m. 6 has extremely heavy traffic during rush hours that causes numerous back-ups and accidents (tractor-trailer overturns/non-commerical colisions). This section of highway was very poorly designed (insufficient highway merges for the volume coupled with abrupt lane shifts (south bound)). There are a large number of aggressive drivers in this section. Each traffic citation causes the multi-lane highway to be reduced to a dead crawl due to rubber-necking.
MM 0 (NB) is under the over-pass, MM 3 (N/SB) is at the exit, MM 5 (N/SB)is just north of Rt 37 crossing over I-69 to the west and just prior to the lane end, MM 8 (SB) exact location not known–probably closer to exit 10.
116th Street near Cumberland Street
There are usually 2 cops, one in a camaro on North side of 116th, and one in an unmarked Crown Victoria on the south side of the road. They park in private drives just on crest of the hill to catch people as they go over. I have seen numerous cars pulled over in one day 4-5.
Allisonville Road near 96th Street
Allisonville Road, north of 96th street. Usually at night. Fishers police. Mostly looking for drunk drivers but heavily enforcing speed limits with radar.
