Indianapolis, Indiana Speed Traps
Harding Street Between I-465 and Raymond Street
Stopped for going 45 in a 40 MPH zone. This is a four-lane stretch of highway-grade road with an unreasonably low speed limit. Trash trucks and dump trucks were passing me, yet I was pulled over. Makes you wonder if someone is getting kickbacks. It’s nearly impossible to fight a traffic ticket in Marion County (the traffic court judge is currently in trouble with the Indiana Supreme Court for alleged judicial misconduct and we can only hope he is removed from office). Due to numerous complaints to our elected officials, the state legislature passed a law only affecting Marion County that limits the unreasonable fines he could throw at people who contested tickets and lost their cases. Police, Prosecutor, and traffic court in Marion County are a huge good-old boy network (it’s all about shaking down motorists to pad budgets), yet they cannot get the truly dangerous drivers with suspended licenses off the road, pick up dangerous wanted felons, or stop the increasing criminal violence in the city.
Rocky Ripple
Do NOT speed on the days the Town Marshall is on duty !
FYI, no one knows what days that might be.
North Keystone. Near the Castleton exit
They sit on the median and wait on you to come flying over the bridge!!! Got clocked doing 63 in a 45 zone (Goes from 55 to 45 once your over the bridge).
Southeastern at Arlington
On Southeastern heading in town towards Arlington. The speed limit is 55, then just past Stables drops to 40mph. They sit at the dentist office or the liquor store and if you are not really paying attention they will get you. 150.00 ticket is too much, but hey they got me and I had to pay!!
West 30th and Winton Avenue
IMPD sits just back off of the street on Winton during the daytime and clocks everyone on West 30th. Speedlimit is only 35!!
