Knox, Indiana Speed Traps
US 30, 35, 8 & 10
ISP have been patrolling these Hwy’s more now than they have in the last 30 years, I have driven them all consistently. Knox county has seen exponential activity to increase revenue. Watch US 30 west of 35 as there are significant amount of people traveling to 2nd homes nearby and they are preying on these people. Hwy 8 and 10 are rural roads with nobody on them, but the State police are now! Officers are sitting in dirt roads, tucked away and do not use radar, just 24 years of experience… I have a V1 and never went off but had 83.3 on the radar. They are saying the offender is traveling 83mph as this is 1mph over into the 4point offense, or more $ for out of state drivers. Happened to friends traveling magically the same speed. Very bad, watch out!!
US 30 and US 35 on US 30
Approximately 1 – 3 miles west of US 35. There is a bend in US 30 at this location. ISP Trooper typically on motorcycle sits in median at this point with VASCAR. Same location is used by ISP cruisers in cold or bad weather.
Location also subject to rolling VASCAR patrols also evident by a lot of tire tracks in the median grass from cruisers making u-turns to chase.

When traveling south on U.S. Hwy. 35 (S. Heaton St.) watch your speed. It’s a posted 35 mph, and they’re waiting for you just as you leave town heading toward Bass Lake.
