Michigan City, Indiana Speed Traps

People will speed down this road from Hwy 12 south to Springland all day and all night and sometimes much more than the 30 mph limit. Those that tail right on another car’s rearend don’t seem to know that numerous stops and tickets are issued daily. Keep your distance and watch your speed.

Traveling East or West the speed limit is 35 mph and it is strictly enforced. Often hiding "just around the bend".

Coming west to the Blue Chip Casino on Highway 12, this trap is immediately after Pioneer Lumber, where the speed drops from 45 to 35. The patrol car is usually in the detail shop parking lot or across the street in the plumbing supply store. Mornings and Sunday nights are popular times to be caught.

Us 20 where the speed limit drops from 55 to 40 at Fail Road. It is patroled by State, County, and local law enforcement.

Between the Intersection of Karwick Rd. and St Hwy 212 They hide in small drives on the side of the road, and the street is so wide and open, 40 MPH feels like 30 They are out there everyday.
