Roseland, Indiana Speed Traps

There is a section of Cleveland Road between Kenilworth Road and SR 933, approximately 0.25 – 0.50 mile in length, in Roseland jurisdiction. The speed limit in this section is 30 MPH. Cleveland Road west of Kenilworth Road is in South Bend jurisdiction and has a speed limit of 45 MPH. Cleveland Road east of SR 933 is in St. Joseph County jurisdiction and has a speed limit of 40 MPH. The section of Cleveland Road in Roseland jurisdiction does not differ in any way from its South Bend and St. Joseph counterparts, yet Roseland insists on a speed limit that is 10 – 15 MPH lower. Conveniently, there is an access road that goes underneath the I-80/I-90 Toll Road about half-way between Kenilworth Road and SR 933, where the Roseland officers sit and check speeds.
