South Bend, Indiana Speed Traps
Ironwood Road, North of Ireland on E. side of street
There is an undeveloped driveway entrance that goes into the woods. It’s a small concrete pad tucked in between some weeds. He can sit on the pad or back into the woods just enough so you can’t see him. It has been somwehat constant lately, if you are stopped, you will get a ticket. I highly suggest doing the speed limit there.
On Edison Road across from Notre Dame Campus
Cop often hangs out in the soccer field/tailgating area near campus on Edison Road. I believe is posted 35mph road. I repeatedly see him pulling out with lights off to follow an unsuspecting speeder.
US 20 Bypass at SR 23 Exit
Northbound on US20 bypass. State Police sitting up on the onramp entering bypass northbound from SR23. Using vascar (no radar detection notice) Black ISP car fully marked. Observed after 9am twice in last 2 weeks. Clear viw of oncoming southbound traffic, can clock you after you are already past him.
Juniper Road between Douglas and Cleveland Roads
30 MPH speed limit, strictly enforced. No tolerance, especially for college students. Take it to court and you might win without a big fight. Low taxes=high need to stop speeders. All speed limits too low for traffic and road conditions.
Miami St, one block south of twycenham
A cop sits sideways behind a house on chippawa and nabs you usually between midnight and 2:00am. except when he’s at Welsh Mart on his donut break.
