Cedar Rapids, Iowa Speed Traps
Edgwood Road near Bridge
CRPD will sit either on the north or the south side of the bridge over the Cedar River. This is a great spot because it is hard to see the other side of the bridge due to the trees blocking your view.
Interstate 380 near US Highway 30
This is a sporadic enforcement, usually two to three times a month, usually on Thursday or Friday nights. They will have multiple Cedar Rapids Police cars, and sometimes the Iowa Highway Patrol will also be involved. They sit in the median just prior to the HWY 30 East on-ramp overpass, and usually go after vehicles going South on I-380. I usually can see it coming when I see the brake lights lighting up on cars ahead of me! One time I didn’t see it coming, and was 7 mph over the limit (60 mph) but didn’t get pulled over.

Airport Police Officers commonly patrol this road / have seen many motorists stopped in front of the airport.
