Hiawatha, Iowa Speed Traps

The Hiawatha cops usually like to sit in the Mercy clinic parking lot away from the street light so you can’t even see them until you come up over the crest going east or west. Occasionally, the Cedar Rapids cops will sit across the street in their jurisdiction in the River of Life church parking lot.

Enforced usually late at night. Usually covered by Hiawatha police, but Cedar Rapids police, Linn County Sheriff, and Iowa State Patrol have been known to sit there before.
